Our Philosophy

Our nursery upholds high standards, ensuring that children are consistently engaged in learning while feeling safe to explore and experiment.

At Cuerden Nursery, we believe that a joyful, secure, and stimulating environment allows children to thrive in all aspects of their development. We continuously create opportunities for new experiences, both inside the nursery and beyond, helping children to develop a sense of self. We encourage all children to build positive relationships with their peers and caregivers, fostering their confidence to communicate effectively. Respect for the feelings, values, beliefs, and belongings of others is a core value we promote, and we motivate children to actively engage in both the nursery and the wider community.

This approach enhances self-esteem and self-confidence through praise and encouragement. We teach children to take responsibility for their actions and to behave politely and courteously at all times. Our commitment to staff training has earned us an excellent reputation for providing high-quality induction and ongoing professional development. In addition to having the necessary childcare qualifications, all our staff members are trained in health and safety, safeguarding, first aid, and basic food hygiene.

We prioritise building strong partnerships with parents, recognising the importance of open communication. We encourage active parental involvement and ensure that our staff is available to discuss your child’s progress or any other concerns you may have.

Parent Reviews

1

As a family, we have a great appreciation for the nursery, and our daughter truly enjoys attending. The staff are fantastic and incredibly accommodating. Since she started at this nursery over two years ago, our little girl has learned and grown so much.

2

Both my son and daughter have been a part of this wonderful establishment for the past few years, and I couldn’t be happier with our decision. The staff work diligently, always prioritising the children in everything they do. The progress they’ve made, both academically and socially, is evident, and my children have thoroughly enjoyed it.

3

We are truly impressed by the professionalism and commitment to providing the best start for our children, particularly in how they handle our child’s allergies and focus on speech and language development. We wouldn’t consider any other setting for them.

4

From our very first visit, we experienced a warm and inviting atmosphere that made us feel comfortable leaving our child in their care. The support my daughter has received during her time at the nursery has been invaluable, and the staff’s exceptional efforts are clearly reflected in her progress.
